The Game - Wouldn't Get Far

Cool video, but I need him to make one song with no celeb names included. Hell, one verse.

Puff and Kim's Kids

Introducing... Puff and long time girlfriend Kim Porter's twin daughter's, D'Lilah Star and Jesse James. Crazy names, but beautiful babies. So far.

Kim can look really pretty sometimes. Nice to see Puff's eyes for a change. And to everyone who calls Kim Porter stupid, I say this: Yes, she is stupid - BUT - if you were going to be a stupid woman (and we all know a few; if you don't then it's you know who) wouldn't you want to be Puff's stupid baby mama instead of every-nigga-you-currently know's stupid baby mama?

I Hate New York

Ok, I like Tiffany aka New York, but her show is WACK because of the extreme gay quotient. I'm a woman and I wanted to see a black woman being romanced by MEN.

Now there's a picture of Chance, New York's love thug, floating around. And dammit if he doesn't look gayer than Ne-Yo in "Stomp the Yard". Is anyone surprised about Chance?

And the mama... Lord... the mama fell in love with the T-Weeds, the love child of Leroy from Fame and Miss J. New York says she doesn't know why his name is T-Weeds. I'm assuming it has something to do with that tumbleweed growing out of his scalp.

I still can't understand how THIS dude's being gay is anything less than expected...

Beyonce Spread in Mag

Will Smith in Japan

Pops Smith was recently in Japan promiting the Pursuit of Happiness.

I don't know whether to say ahhh! or ewww!

The Pursuit of Happiness was a pretty good flick. I wanted to see some sort of a side plot, but there was NONE. Yeah, I know it was all about the character's time on the streets during an internship, but still. I wanted to see more about he and his wife. That could have been explored a little more. They could have shown more interaction between him and other homeless people in the shelter. You know...something to break the theme a little. But all in all, it was an inspiring film. His son is a natural.

Tiny and T.I.: Goin to tha Chapel...

According to SandraRose.com, T.I's girlfriend Tiny (from XScape) is pregnant again and due in June. A wedding will probably go down in July.

Tiny did that.

Embarassing Moment: Foxy Brown

Itty bitty titty and lipstick is still purple.

Grandmaster Flash on Hip Hop

I ran across an interview between Davey D and Grandmaster Flash. His words express to perfection what I've been feeling about hip hop. I'm sure others agree.

"What I've found appealing is the fact that Hip Hop can take from any other genre of music, recreate it, reform it, rearrange it and put poetry over the top of it. That's Hip Hop. That was a positive thing for it. Now, as for what I don't like [about hip-hop], I'll try to explain this real carefully.

Me [Flash], Bambaataa and Kool Herc planted this seed. This seed was a seed to a tree. This tree had a massive trunk and this trunk had branches and leaves. The leaves symbolize different subject matter that we can speak on. If you think about the history of Hip Hop we've had artist who can talk about from socially significant ideas to something as cool as sneakers. There was a time when all these various subject matters were utilized. But what has happened, we as Hip Hoppers are not fully utilizing this tree. At this point in time, I just feel that this tree is leaning. By that I mean, I think we are putting too much weight on one side of the tree, when this particular genre of music allows us to talk about many things."

Davey D: Why do you think this has happened?

"I think the music business plays a big part. Let's say have two record company's which I'll call 'Company Left' and 'Company Right'. Let's say Company Left has an artist with a hit record. Company Right would rather come up with a record that sounds like Company Left as opposed to allowing the creative flow of the artist to come up with something just as comparable. If you think about my era to throughout the 80's, you had anybody from Eric B & Rakim who's subject matter was totally different from Chuck D, who's subject matter was totally different from LL's, who's subject matter was totally different from KRS-One. We were basically bombing the airwaves and the record companies could not figure out how and why. What has happened is that to some degree they have taken an attitude where they don't listen to demos of diverse subject matters. They're looking for demos like the record the guy on the left just did.

Hip Hop has become real constrained. The creative juices and creative flows have been diminished."

Diana Ross Stages Comeback

On Jan. 16, the legendary Motown Records singer's long awaited new album, 'I Love You,' arrives on U.S. record shelves via Manhattan/EMI -- after being previously released overseas last fall.

Next week, the near 63-year old songstress will embark on a full scale media tour, which includes live musical performances on 'Good Morning America,' 'Live with Regis & Kelly' and 'The Late Show with David Letterman' (Jan. 16). She is also confirmed to tape a segment on 'The Martha Stewart Show'(to air on Jan. 26) and sit down with James Lipton for 'Inside The Actor's Studio.' To add to all the frenzy, Taraborrelli's latest biography on Ross, titled 'Diana Ross: The Unauthorized Biography,' will be released next week in U.K., and is expected for U.S. release this spring. (more here)

I guess Diana didn't want our last memory of her to be as the "real Deena."

It's odd that my all time favorite movie is Lady Sings the Blues, but I have never been a big Diana Ross fan. I'll download her new CD though.

Superhead Wants to Extend 15 Minutes of Shame

Karrine Steffans, aka Superhead, has a website with video diaries.

She speaks from either her bed or her tub/jaquizzi/some watery ho spot.

I'm always on the woman's side...until I can't be on her side anymore. Karrine just refuses to earn money that's not centered around or implying sex. I don't admire her hustle. The only way she can get my attention again is to reveal PAPA's idenity.

Can't wait for part two of "Confessions of a Headhunter Video Vixen".

Amerie - Take Control

I LOVE this song, and the stunning Amerie has never sounded better.

Chamillionaire Says It Just Right

I don't really do Myspace. It seems cluttered, clumsy, and childish. But every now and then I'll click on a page. Today I ran across Chamillionaire's. Finally - a Houston rapper who can spell, and has sensible, bling-free shit to say. Tell 'em Cham:

Girls and Spam Gone Wild
1. spamming the home page of an artist myspace page in order to get signed or "get a deal" ....is wack! Get off your azz and get out in the world and make somethin of yourself..... only lazy people do stuff like that. I wanted to make it bad... i dont think anyone out there wanted it as bad as me .. but i still had the common sense to know that going online and spamming ever artist page i could find wasnt the way it was gonna happen....... too many fakes on my space...fake chamillionaires' ...fake producers...males pretending to be females....perverts ..etc etc... if your serious send a demo to:

chamillionaire
5380 w. 34th st #309
Houston tx 77092

I got a staff that'll listen to every demo.... and they will make sure I l listen to every decent demo....info and pictures are always a plus..... sad pitty stories are not needed.... you dont want someone to sign you out of pitty....you want someone to sign you because you are talented....

2. For the last time "I am not dead" ....i am alive and kicking.... i dont see how i can still be gettin messages about that rumor......its amazing how news travels and how hard it is to get information to everyone.....some people still think im wit swishahouse.....please get out from under the rock....

3. I look at a lot of the messages and everytime i open one that says " if you dont answer me you will loose a fan" ....then im gonna make sure i dont reply to that one..... i dont think that would work for any rapper .....entertainers are busy people...most do not have the time to reply to a million messages .....and especially messages like "whats good"? .....or "youre soooo sexy can you call me"?.....but some, like me ...look at the message just to know what the fans are thinking and saying....keep that in mind next time you dont get a response from your favorite rapper or singer.....threatening to not purchase his/her next cd probably wont work.......and that aint how real fans rock anyways.....

4. young ladies.... a nice comment is always appreciated but some of ya'll need some real parental guidence.... if you are of a young age you should not be sending any sexual comments to anyone online..... i have a lil sister and i always used to tryin to watch her like a hawk and a lot of ya'll remind me of why i was like that............you have your whole life ahead of you .....dont try to grow up too soon......im not 15 years old .....and i am not thrilled when i see young 14, 15, 16 , 17 year old girls sending me girls gone wild xxx comments...........thats crazy mayne..... act like a mature young lady and keep that type of stuff to yourself..... i will never answer any emails like that.......

peace...bout to go back to work...... workin on another song for my album..... got deadlines to meet so i gotta go.... ya'll stay up....

Paula Abdul - Crack or MS?

Wha-?

I know Crack when I see it.

Or maybe Paula's got advanced Multiple Sclerosis? Surely she wouldn't do a satellite interview cracked out? Pills? (so boring.)

Bobby Drops the Yayo
Check out Whitney's ex, Bobby Brown, dropping something that looks too much like powder to be anything else. (1:26 mark). He picks it up oh so smoothly around 1:31:

They Just Can't Let the N*gga Go...

Now that niggas finally decided to ban the word nigga (after Kramer said it like it was meant to be said at the Laugh Factory), White folks are protesting in the streets! Throwing out "nigga this" and "nigga that" left and right.

Our beloved Anthony Michael Hall freely said it a couple of times outside of the Laugh Factory, too. He also talked about weed. Not sure if this is a publicity stunt or if the man just said whatever the hell he felt like saying.

I'm thinking he just wanted to put it out there.

And, I don't have any audio for it, but Andy Dick (why aint he supposed to be gay??) blurted it out at the Laugh Factory recently. I'm starting to wonder if the Laugh Factory isn't paying half-celebs to act complete fools. But who wants this kind of publicity?

Andy was heckling comedian Ian Bagg during his routine, when Dick allegedly got out of his seat, jumped onstage and began joking with Bagg. The subject of Michael Richards came up, but the two comics quickly moved past it. As Dick exited the stage, he suddenly grabbed the mic and shouted at the crowd, "You're all a bunch of niggers!"The stunned crowd gasped and stared at each other. Bagg tried to play it cool and move on with his set, but the laughs weren't there. (story here)

I think that White folks are just celebrating a part of their ancestry they've had to suppress since we was freed. These new white folks never got to say nigga all up and down the street at will, so they are just like "whatever" right now...they want their time to say nigga real good and strong before it completely goes away.

I wonder if Kerry Washington's man ever calls her the n-word. If so, I have a strong feeling she just laughs it off and kisses his pert little ...nose. *mwah!*

Oh yeah, there won't be anymore to the 2006 wrap up. Time slipped by. It's '07.

Woman "Rescues" and Kisses Lion

Ana Julia Torres kisses Jupiter, an African lion she rescued from a circus six years ago, at her Villa Lorena animalshelter, in Cali, Colombia.
...and she's not even White. Lord.
