Don Imus: Part 2

First, who gives a ish about Don Imus? Second, what black man really gives a ish about those nappy headed hoes?

I hear black men screaming foul like they really care. And I see Al and Jesse foaming at the mouth behind Imus’ remarks — but who are you kidding? The average black man wouldn’t claim the captain of that basketball team if she was his sister. (And who could blame you? Those Rutger dykes look like they can bench press Chevy's, but that's not the point.)

Imus doesn't bother me. I don't care about the opinion of some near death white man. But I do care about black men swiping credit cards up black women's butts in videos. And I do care that the black women allow it.

I don't want to waste time seeking an authentic apology from Don Imus. (And, yes, he will die before he's fired.) I want to figure out WTF we’re going to do about this crop of disrespectful black boys coming up under a crop of disrespectful black men. And I want to talk about why the girls allow themselves to be so disrespected.

If White men had regularly used terms of degradation for their women, wouldn’t we sometimes call a White woman that degrading term, also? If we always heard white men singing about “stringy haired gold diggers” wouldn’t we start to think of white women as stringy haired gold diggers, too?

I really can’t ask - or expect - Imus to respect my sister if he's witnessing my brother spitting in her face 24 x 7.

Remy Ma Released from Terror Squad

This would be my first Remy Ma post ever. She’s below zero on my radar. Frankly, Rema Ma is invisible to me; I catch glimpses of her here and there, but never give her conscious thought. Then today I read that she's no longer with the Terrozzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Anyway, Remy's fan might drop by my page, and I wouldn't want to piss her off by not posting this breaking news:

South Bronx, NY rapper Remy Ma has officially been released from her deal with Terror Squad/SRC/Universal.

Remy Ma first requested that she be released shortly after the release of her debut album, There's Something About Remy, but due to legal hang-ups and bitter negotiations her status as a free agent was not made official until today (Apr. 9).

"I felt that I had out grown them I had been dealing with Joe and Steve since I was 18 years old," Remy Ma told AllHipHop.com. "We no longer had the same goals. They're used to me being 'little' Remy who wanted all the fly sneakers, a nice whip and the biggest chain you ever saw on a girl."

Incidentally, Remy’s wearing House of Dereon. Remy makes it look like something you'd steal from the Flea Market, huh?

Houston Nurse Kills 3 in Fire

Firestarter and Mobile Home Owner, Misty Ann Weaver

A licensed vocational nurse has been arrested and accused of starting a fire in her office that killed three people and injured six others.

The March 28 fire spread throughout the fifth floor of a six-story building. Three firefighters were among the injured.

Misty Ann Weaver, 34, was scheduled to make her first court appearance Tuesday, charged with three counts of felony murder and one count of first-degree arson. Weaver, arrested late Saturday, remained in jail Sunday in lieu of $330,000 bail, said Harris County Sheriff's Department spokesman Lt. John Martin.

Authorities alleged that Weaver started the fire because she had neglected to finish an accreditation audit that was due to her boss, a plastic surgeon. "She was fearful of being discharged by the doctor," Fire Department investigator James Snowden said. "Therefore, she figured that by starting a small fire, it would more or less postpone the audit information."

Investigators did not say how the fire was started. Martin said Weaver did not appear to have an attorney to speak for her yet. There was no telephone listing for her in local directories.

What, really, can you say about this? Ms. Nurse had the option to 1) WALK OFF THE JOB, 2) SHRED THE EVIDENCE, or 3) 'FESS UP. I've done all three and life goes on. But she chose to start a fire and run? What a LOSER.

More here, but I had to dig this piece out:

She had worked for Capriotti for about eight years and her duties included "a little bit of everything," he said from his home in Tanglewood.

"She was a wonderful employee," Capriotti said. "She has always been top-notch as far as performance and attitude. It's just a total shock. It's just almost beyond our comprehension."
He said he was aware that Weaver had ongoing financial trouble — she filed for bankruptcy protection, apparently to prevent foreclosure on her mobile home — but did not think the trouble was "pressing." He said that she had no access to office funds.

As for her behavior, it did not change before or after the fire, Capriotti said. She continued to work in his relocated office.

After reading the whole piece, I almost feel sorry for her. Almost.

Calling all Nappy Headed Hoes and Jiggaboos

IMUS in the Morning is apparently suffering from dementia, because he went absolutely crazy a few days ago with the racial insults.

To be honest, I don’t expect old white men to consider black women anything other than nappy headed hoes, but I still think Imus should get the boot. I’m offended at his remarks, yes, but I'm also singing with joy because his super boring morning show may FINALLY come to an end!!!

“That’s some rough girls from Rutgers,”
“Man, they got tattoos...”
“Some hardcore hos,”
“That’s some nappy-headed hos there, I’m going to tell you that,”
^^ I'm trying not to agree!

R. Kelly - FLIRT

R. Kelly - FLIRT

No for real, I LOOOOVE this song. I hated the R'uh for a long time, but this one won me back over.

Does Jay-Z Have a Kid or Not?

According to US mag he just might... but who cares? R. Kelly pissed on that little girl and I'mma still Flirt. And as long as Jay keeps making good music, he can keep making $1m dollar babies on the low.

Ok - let's suppose Jay did pay the girl $1m to keep his name off the birth certificate. And let's suppose he kept it quiet because he'd just snagged Beyonce and didn't want anything to spoil that magical union. (Let's keep in mind that the Knowles' don't play about illegitimate kids. We all know they made Solange marry her baby daddy just to save face. Too bad Sonja Norwood couldn't pull that one off... but I'm drifting...)

So, if Jay is guilty of all of this (he denies the "ridiculous rumors" here), does this make him a sorry dad? Yes. Does this make him a deceitful liar? Yes. Does this make him crazy behind Bey? Possibly. BUT - does this detract from his skill and business savvy? Nope. I really don't understand why this is such a shock to everyone. Image-minded Jay-Z has never wanted anything to spoil his image. And most importantly - don't we love him for his selfish arrogance?
